Profile
The Moray Eel Playground is located in The National Museum of Bermuda, housed inside the grounds of the castle Keep and overlooks the stunning sea. The museum investigates Bermuda’s marine and island history.
It was decided to build an adventurous playground to make the location more appealing to families. It is made up of two major components. The lighthouse with the moray eel in green. The lighthouse reflects the museum’s history since it is a replica of the St. David’s Lighthouse from 1879, which is located on St. David’s Island and overlooks the South Shore. The well-known ancient lighthouse is a landmark on Bermuda’s east coast. The green moray eel represents the museum’s maritime section because it is widespread in the surrounding water and is well-known.
The moray eel’s structure is long and narrow, making it an intriguing experience to climb into.
The youngest children may play in the fortress-shaped sandbox next to the moray eel and the lighthouse. There are even tiny canons and a barrel in the sandbox.
