According to a news article by WMBD, the playground is now open and features a variety of natural elements that were designed with great care and attention to detail. Charlie Jobson, who was involved in the project, said that “a lot of craftsmanship and artisanship went into every piece of this park”. The playground was designed by landscape architect Helle Nebelong, who was recruited by Jobson.
The playground includes at least 20 separate elements, such as an alphabet labyrinth, a snail-shaped mound, a river garden, and an amphitheater . The design of the playground is intended to bring elements of nature to the schoolyard and improve child development and their relationship with nature.
It’s wonderful to see such attention to detail and creativity in the design of a playground.
