Profile
Drimmie Park Playground has an aviator themed structure in the northern suburbs of Clarkson, that pays homage to World War II flying boats.
This giant read air plane is designed for climbing and sliding and features multiple pipes. slopes, and netting to climb. The tail of the plane is open and accessible via a trailing cargo net. From inside, you can climb your way to the top of a two storey slide, which spirals to a sandy landing, below.
Surrounding the airplane are several blocks and natural wooden stumps and logs for hopping, jumping, and balancing.
The ground cover is primarily sand, with a rubberized slope immediately surrounding the air-plane. The play space area is boxed in by wooden timbers.
Alongside the aircraft, are two swing (one of which is designed for infants and toddlers).
The climbing structure is modelled after a Catalina aircraft, which the residential estate is named after.
The playground hosts picnic tables and benches, and also has a small exercise gym.
