Profile
Surf is up at Sherwood Park’s gorgeous new natural playground! Cambrian Playground features a rainbow of colour in its unique and ultra-fun Wave climber! The wooden wave climber can be climbed on from all sides – there are climbing holds on virtually every part of it, plus built-in climbable netting, rope climbers and more. The big wave is flanked by a couple of smaller waves, plus a plethora of log climbers – some upright, some jumbled in a log jam, and some with rope features. Separated by a cement pathway is the smaller toddler playground which is a tiny version of the wooden climber, with logs, a climbing panel and slide. There are two low swings here, and 3 bigger swings (2 standard and 1 saucer) in the original playground.)Cambrian Playground is designed and built by Earthscape Play and Park N Play Design, the companies who’ve teamed up on three of our other favourite parks – the Laurier Park Coyote Playground, the incredible Parc Reunis in Beaumont, and the lovely Rondeau Park in St. Albert. The playgrounds are based in sand with a cement path through the park. There are three overhands that will likely be picnic shelters. One has the same colours of the wave in its underside!
