The Chilliwack Landing Playground is a vibrant and inclusive play area located at the Chilliwack Landing Leisure Centre. This playground is designed to be accessible for children of all abilities, featuring a variety of freestanding equipment and poured rubber surfacing for safety and ease of movement.
Key attractions include the Accelerator Swing and the Surface Spinner, which offer exhilarating motion play. The Together Glider can accommodate up to 10 children at once, providing a fun and social experience. For sensory play, the ADA Play Hut is equipped with activity panels at wheelchair height, including a Tic-Tac-Toe panel and a Simon Says panel.
Musical instruments from the Concerto collection, such as Congas and Vibes, are scattered throughout the playground, allowing children to create their own melodies. The Sequoia Log, a towering 6-foot structure, is wheelchair-friendly and adds a touch of nature to the play area.
Additionally, the playground features a spray park with 16 above-ground and 24 in-ground sprays, perfect for cooling off on hot days. The nearby skate park and pump track offer exciting challenges for older kids, making the Chilliwack Landing Playground a fun destination for families.
