About the Park
Bobolink’s quiet location and perimeter pathways make it a wonderful place for a stroll. The open fields are perfect for flying a kite or throwing a ball, and the playground area is popular with younger children.
History
Initially developed in the early 1950s, this park was officially opened in July 1956. Bobolink was a name applied by the Central Mortgage and Housing Corporation to a street in the new 1100 home, post war Fraserview Subdivision. It was explained that the name referenced a golf course located somewhere in the British Isles.
