Profile
Play areas and paths meander like a river across the playground at the nearby Tegeler stream in Berlin Reinickendorf. A duck bridge leads over the river. She gave the idea for the design of the playground, which the residents and visitors of the playground immediately noticed positively. This confirms the identity-creating effect of a playground through the inclusion of location-specific features in the playground planning.
Multifunctional play areas in the form of duck nests and wooden reed grasses for large and small children with lots of exercise options, such as climbing, balancing, sliding, swinging and doing gymnastics, determine the play area. In addition to the play areas, there is a group and an individual swing for the respective age groups. The sand play area was separated with a varied wooden border to give the small children a manageable and quiet play area. In the middle of the sand play area there is an oversized duck sculpture at eye level with the little ones.
The playground is barrier-free. At the entrances there are bicycle parking spaces and several park benches as seating. Curved wooden decks invite you to sit down. One wooden deck stands a little away from the play area on the meadow, the other wooden deck frames the play area. It starts at ground level and ends at the sand play area with a height of approx. 50 cm. This difference in height also makes it a popular rolling and walking surface.
