Profile
Splash about with friendly marine animals before diving into the Wyndham Park paddling pool. A new marine-inspired play pad offers this once elderly institution, which was erected in 1923, a new lease on life. The creative design turns half of the current pool space into ground level water features, allowing for more participatory play while conserving water.
Visitors of all ages and abilities may join in the enjoyment with ground sprays that tickle the toes, a big whale’s tail flicking water in the air, and a toddler feature for gentle hands-on learning. The construction of a retain and reuse system catches pool water to fill the play area and hydrate adjacent gardens, earning Wyndham Park recognition as one of the greatest green spaces in the city.
