Profile
Kids Cove located in Mattson Park was an outstanding community endeavor completed in the summer of 1996. A community came out with hammers in hand to lend their talents in building a playground for and by them. Since its conception, it has been a fixture for the Marquette community and has been a great gathering place for families.
The playground consists of several peaked wooden towers connected by bridges and stairs. Additionally, children can balance their way between destinations and climb to lofty heights. This castle like structure also includes interactive games like tic-tac-toe and features some fish related art sculptures.
From the towers, children can slide their way down to the boxed-in wood chip floor, below. Their are also nets, poles, bars, and grips that children can us to navigate their way around this playground fort.
Several swings are available and tire swings and obstacles can be found throughout this park.
